lost ones

I have a 1 tb hard drive that's littered with jobs and projects that didn't get approved. for every piece of art you've seen, or thats posted on the web, there's 4 to those that you haven't, or had no clue that i did or worked on.. while digging up the old i soldier t-design below, i came across this and realized how dope it was, just sitting in the corners of my hard drive.. In 2010 i was approached by a consulting firm to do the design for lil waynes tour.. it had to be a different style of art that we were accustomed to seeing. this was going to be for the "i am not a human being" album. there was some back and forth talk, however, live nation stepped in and took control of the tour(it ended up going to Verizon amphitheater instead of time warner cable arena), and went with the design below, no complaints on my end, i had to sign non disclosure agreements, hence, why i never posted this stuff till today, and its long gone, so, i'll share this now.

below was my sci-fi design, its just what my mind saw after hearing a few chosen tracks to design from, i also have a space ship themed one as well, theres at least 4 more designs, but this was my fave.

I believe below is what they went with(thats not my design).. its clean simple, good design, and note the title change. thanks tunechi!

seoul sessions

back in 2004, my first comic con, i got the chance to meet this guy and his crew, i had a few invisible soldier t-shirts and hair back then, I also remember working at the local artstore, while my colleague would read his book entitled "cannon busters" . I remember having conversations with lesean and his team at the time, and their art work was amazing and inspiring... he went on to become animator on the boondocks a year or so later, now he's in korea starting to put his cannon busters anime together... heres the vid, and props to the whole artzilla crew that i met as well... also props for using this fire, drake/rick ross/just blaze instrumental!

these were the t-shirts that i had, 2004, good stuff!(the timberlands date the design, its still dope though)

art of metal gear solid

i picked up the ashley wood "zombies vs robots" book yesterday and saw this on the shelf as well... the metal gear art book... ashley wood is one of my favorite artist and i have a few of his books dating back to the spawn stuff, a really dope style and very inspirational work... i'll add this one to my collection of his works as well.. cant wait until the data east art show though, i too have a metal gear piece!

oregon ducks darth vader joints

i work for a sports products company, they allow me to have free reign with my ideas and i get to go as crazy as i want with my designs(im not designing uniforms though) and i'll admit that im working on a terminator inspired cover design now for one of their catalogs, but i have to admit when i heard that the oregon ducks are sporting the darth vader'ish uniforms for the rose bowl this year, i thought to myself... sports has finally crossed into that realm of sci fi and the world is gonna be a much better place now.

this features 11 different materials that make up the uniform and the helmets have a liquid metal black finish... never before used in football helmets...the numbers have a sheen similar to duck feathers(oregon ducks).... hence why i love college football a lot better than the nfl... no fun league.. step it up reebok!
